Finance : Dollar increased after Eid holidays

 

KARACHI: During the 3-day business week after the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, the value of foreign currency increased, during which the dollar appreciated by 37 paise. According to the details, after the end of the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, the dollar became expensive by 37 paise in the interbank market during the 3 days. During April 26 to 28, 2023 (Wednesday to Friday), the dollar closed at Rs 283 84 paisa from Rs 283 47 paise at the interbank level. During a week, the dollar depreciated by Rs 2 to Rs 290 in the open market. In the open market, during this period, Euro became expensive by 2 rupees to 317 rupees, British pound increased by 1 rupee 50 paise to 360 rupees, Emirati dirham decreased by 5 paise to 79 rupees 20 paise and Saudi riyal increased by 15 paise to 76 rupees 60 paise. Done. On the other hand, the State Bank of Pakistan says that the reserves of the State Bank increased by 30 million dollars. State Bank's foreign exchange reserves increased from $4.43 billion to $4.46 billion. The deposits of commercial banks increased by 3 million dollars to 5.56 billion dollars.
